Somehow equating happiness with stupidity.?
I feel I can be smart or happy, and I prefer to be smart. Is there really a catch-22, or otherwise? (Http: / / www.cracked.com/article_17061_p2.html). I do not want to be a setback, naive, not free-thinking person. I read somewhere that people religious are happier, but I am an atheist and I remain so. "If not satisfied, then you're not SMART !!!!!!!!" As I said, feels like a Catch-22. Also, please do not tell me to turn to anarchism, God, or of psychiatric drugs as a solution. I'm not interested in anything. Also, I'm not saying that religious people are stupid. It seems that the way we phrased my question, I guess. I am looking for a way to fit my type.
I would call consciousness, rather than intelligence, which makes a person unhappy. Knowledge of the outside world, at least. Taking some time for the inner-discovery, the quest for enlightenment, however, may have the opposite effect, allowing you to smile despite the tragedies of life. Look to the Buddha, for example.
