The best way to tell if your Pokemon is the ultimate happiness is through the Friendship Checker application Poke. If your Pokemon is at maximum happiness, press the stylus on the Pokemon in question and find the two big hearts. If you see them, which has maximum Pokemon happiness. Hope this helps:)
